This notice describes how the Zanadu prototype website handles information. It describes the prototype as it is actually built today, not features that are planned.

Who operates this website
This website is operated by Zanadu AI LLC. Zanadu AI LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of AI9 Labs, Inc. Questions about this notice can be sent to clay@zanadu.ai.
What you submit
The interactive prototype accepts a question that you type into the prompt field. When you run the prototype, that text is sent to the Zanadu prototype service so an answer can be generated and analyzed for commercial context.
The prototype does not have user accounts, and it does not ask for your name, address, or payment details. There is no contact form on this website; the contact links open your own email application.
Please do not submit confidential, sensitive, or personal information in prototype prompts.
Third party services that process your request
- Amazon Web Services. The prototype runs on AWS infrastructure, and the answer is generated and annotated using Amazon Bedrock foundation models.
- A third party web search provider. To find candidate products, the prototype may send short search phrases derived from the generated answer to an external search service. These are product phrases such as “corn tortillas”, not your full question.
These providers process the request under their own terms and privacy practices.
Operational logs
The prototype writes operational logs to Amazon CloudWatch Logs in the Zanadu AWS account. These logs are used to run, secure, debug, and improve the prototype.
Current logs record diagnostic information about how an answer was processed, including the length of the generated answer, the product phrases extracted from it, which placement candidates were considered or dropped, and which model was used. Logs written by earlier versions of the prototype also contain full request records, which include the submitted question. You should assume that the text you submit may appear in these logs.
No automatic expiration is configured on the prototype log group, so log records may remain until they are deleted or the retention setting is changed. This notice does not promise a specific retention period or a deletion guarantee.
Website analytics
The Zanadu homepage includes Google Analytics 4, which collects standard website usage information such as page views, and which records when a prompt is submitted, when a response is received, when a placement link is clicked, and when the prototype is reset. Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser. This analytics tag is present on the homepage; it is not included on this privacy page or on the other supporting pages of this site.
External links
Answers produced by the prototype may contain links to third party retailer websites. Those websites are operated by other companies and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Zanadu does not control them and is not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.
Security
Requests from your browser to this website and to the prototype service are served over HTTPS. The prototype is an early stage system, and no security measure is perfect. Please treat it accordingly, and do not submit information you would not want recorded in an operational log.
Selling and sharing
Zanadu does not sell the questions you submit. Aside from the service providers described above that are needed to produce an answer, Zanadu does not share them with third parties.
